How Does the Mine Work?

Mining Ore for Cash

Each level of the mine contains ore blocks of varying value. Collect these before other players to earn cash. Different ores are worth different amounts — prioritize higher-value ore blocks when you can see them.

The Energy System

As players move through the mine, their energy will deplete — draining faster the more they move. When energy runs out, players must answer a question correctly to continue mining.

It is the critical technique: movement costs energy, but standing still means you’re not collecting ore. The balance is deliberate movement — path efficiently from ore block to ore block rather than sprinting in all directions.

Level Unlock

All players dig through the same mine, one level at a time, competing to collect valuable ore. A timer at the bottom of each level counts down, unlocking the next level for everyone. It means even if you’re in last place, the next level is a fresh start for everyone.

Power-Ups and Treasures

Along the way, players find items that change the game significantly:

Item What it Does

TNT

Clears surrounding blocks instantly, collecting all ore in the blast area

Mystery Crates Contains upgrades: larger TNT blasts, bigger pickaxes, directional dynamite to clear rows, or the Ore Generator, which spawns new ore around you
Treasure Chests Give bonus cash
Treasure Rooms

Appear rarely and contain massive rewards — the highest-value discovery in the game

Strategy Tips for Mini Mine

Move deliberately, not randomly. Energy drains faster the more you move, and energy depletion forces a question to stop. Map your path to ore blocks efficiently — zig-zag movement wastes energy, direct routes preserve it.

Prioritize TNT and Mystery Crates immediately. These items can clear entire sections of ore in seconds, giving you a massive short-term cash boost that’s hard to overcome.

Answer questions fast. When your energy runs out, every second you spend thinking is ore that other players are collecting. Study mode or Classic runs on the same question set before class can help you answer faster during Mini Mine.

Position for Treasure Rooms. When you spot a Treasure Room entrance, move toward it quickly. The massive reward inside is worth temporarily ignoring other ore.

Use level transitions strategically. When a new level unlocks, move immediately toward the highest-density ore areas before other players. First-mover advantage at a new level can create a strong cash lead.

What Makes Mini Mine Unique?

Mini Mine is the only Blooket mode where all players share the same physical space at the same time. Unlike Gold Quest (where stealing is abstract) or Battle Royale (where matchups are isolated), Mini Mine puts everyone in the same mine at the same time — you can literally see other players grabbing ore that you wanted. It creates genuine competition around movement, positioning, and resource timing that no other Blooket mode replicates.
